Ron Robertson, Lighting Designer & Consultant / Programmer
Ron Robertson, a fourteen-year veteran of the professional lighting business, started his career in Branson, MO, working as a lighting technician at the Grand Palace Theatre. Ron went to work as lighting designer for Tony Orlando in 1997, working both his theatre production show at the Tony Orlando Theatre and traveling road dates. For nine years Ron toured over 120 dates a year with Orlando creating concerts, theatrical stage shows and television appearances for Tony in venues all over the country.
During that same time, Ron also had a very successful and busy career as a freelance designer and programmer for multiple production companies including Vista Productions, Downhome Productions and Brawner & Associates. His experience included multi-million dollar corporate meetings such as Sam’s Club, various theatrical productions for multiple clients, live television broadcast concerts, large scale church pageants and over seven years of work as programmer for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
In 2005 Ron went to work full-time with Brawner & Associates working as the programmer and lighting director of multiple live event productions such as Ranger Boats, Wal-Mart and Procter & Gamble. Ron also works as a designer & consultant on a wide range of the company’s new facility design projects.
Ron is an ace programmer on consoles from the Grand MA to ETC, Hog II & III and Avolite. His programming experience has included productions with hundreds of moving lights and multiple universes. Responsibilities have included designing complex system networking and data streams. Ron has extensive WYSIWYG experience and has done many productions where pre-programming was involved. Ron’s design experience has included work in television broadcasts. With over ten years on the road, Ron has gained incomparable experience from the countless venues he has worked in, from casino showrooms to theatres, arenas, auditoriums, convention centers and church facilities.
Ron resides in Ozark, MO, a suburb of Springfield with wife Sheryl and are enjoying their first child, Gaven, born in April of 2005.
