Karen Brawner, Vice-President Design Services
Karen’s college career at Missouri Southern University concentrated on the inner workings of the theatre, from stage management to lighting and technical direction. In 1990 Karen took a position with Automated Studio Lighting in Glendale, California, implementing the “Hits” inventory tracking system. Upon her return to Missouri Karen furthered her experience by working in financial planning, business administration and as a production technician for a Joplin, MO-based television station.
In 1995, Karen met Donnie Brawner as she accepted a position in the lighting division of the Grand Palace theatre in Branson, MO. Karen later went to work for the Miracle Corporation as a CADD training specialist, assisting dealers with CADD training through the development of a CADD interactive program. Karen moved on to Downhome Productions, a lighting production company, to work both as an assistant to Donnie’s design projects and managing the company’s inner workings.
Karen’s responsibilities with Brawner & Associates require the ultimate in multi-tasking and management skills. Karen oversees all of the company’s CADD and design assistance paperwork for a multitude of projects. As the Vice President of the company, she works alongside Donnie in setting and implementing company direction & problem solving, developing future entertainment projects and managing the CADD and office staff. Karen is the liaison between the CPA and the bookkeeping department, as well as the lead in setting policies and dealing with retirement plans and insurance. Karen’s twelve years of experience in administration, assistance and support of the entertainment industry makes her the most crucial element in the success of Brawner & Associates.
