Prestonwood Christmas with John Tesh

Brawner & Associates is currently in the design process for a massive production at the 7,000 seat Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano TX. Prestonwood will open its doors to audiences from around the country for its production of "Gloria" with special guest John Tesh.

First Baptist Church Marco Island Opens Doors

Springfield MO based, Brawner & Associates just completed two years of work on a new facility for the First Baptist Church of Marco Island FL. The project includes a 500 seat worship center, children’s space, multi-purpose areas, youth rooms, coffee shop, commercial kitchen & library. Brawner and Associates was tasked with providing turn-key design & installation services for the project including over-all sanctuary design, ceiling treatments, seating layout, audio, video, lighting, digital signage, scenic elements, acoustics and motorized rigging systems.

“We wanted to appeal to those living in Marco but also to those visiting the Island, a mix of retirees and younger generation families. Our goal was not to ostracize the older generation by building a contemporary facility, but we had to make everyone feel comfortable.” The Island does not have a different church on every corner. It was a tall order, but the church chose Brawner & Associates because they felt they had the mindset to satisfy traditional and contemporary tastes and seemed to understand the church. “Donnie Brawner told me early on that we needed to create an environment that produces an inspirational audience experience” explains Neptune, “and that’s what they did. We turned the design of the whole sanctuary over to them.”

“The pastor was very specific that he wanted the space to serve as a platform for live services, theatrical productions, concerts and TV,” Brawner says, “The architect gave us a footprint - a blank room with four walls in which to develop the space. The state of the art church facility was designed with the goal of intimacy, flexibility and future expansion in mind. The church has the ability to do television broadcast, stage productions, concerts or intimate live services in the feel of a small space with the technology of the largest space.

“The new Worship Center exceeded our expectations and It's just what we had hoped for, a combination of traditional elegance with new technology for a younger generation. Its answers the call for the facility transformation we had been looking for. The space is incredible and offers outstanding sound and video capabilities, with flexible lighting. ETCP Certification

Dave Loftin is the only person in Missouri and one of only 13 in the county that is certified as a theatrical stage rigger and as a master electrician by the ETCP (Entertainment Technician Certification Program). This new level of certification is aimed at making the professional entertainment industry a safer environment. Professional entertainment personnel from theatrical/arena productions & from the television/film industry are allowed to take the rigorous competency-based examinations after completing the stringent qualifications and work experience.
